Dragons sign two Edmonton prospects

The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce the recent signing of Tristan Reimer and Cameron Brezinski, both from Edmonton, AB.     Reimer, a 6’0”, 180 lb, 1995-born right wing/centre, played for the South Side Athletic Club United Cycle Bulldogs in the Alberta Minor Midget ‘AAA’ League this past season. One of the Bulldog’s Assistant Captains, he racked up 22 goals and 28 assists for 50 points in only 36 games, tying him for 11th overall in league scoring.
After committing to the Dragons, he was quick to thank his coaches and family, remarking, “My family has always supported me as I pursue my goal of playing junior hockey, and so have all the great coaches I’ve had in minor hockey. This is one more step toward that goal and I know that the work is just beginning, but I’m excited to get started at training camp in August. To have a chance to do it in Drumheller is really special.”
Brezinski, a 6’0”, 170 lb, 1995-born left wing/centre, also played in the Alberta Minor Midget ‘AAA’ League last year, and was the Captain of his team, the Knights of Columbus Centennials. He finished second on the squad in total points, and first in points per game, accumulating 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points and a 1.43 points per game average over 23 games played.
After accepting the Dragons’ offer to join their group of prospects, he commented, “I was really impressed with the Dragons players and coaches who worked with us at the Spring Camp. Everyone was very welcoming and professional, and I felt like part of the Team right away. I’m thankful to them for this opportunity, and to my family and the Knights of Columbus coaches for helping me take this step.”
Dragons Assistant Coach and Assistant Director of Player Development, Ryan Hilderman, commented on the recent signings, saying, “Both players bring an exciting blend of size, speed and skill. Also, as with all Dragons recruits, they are extremely competitive and intelligent players, and tremendous people as well.”
“We’re looking forward to working with them at training camp and to teaching them more about how we do things in Drumheller.”
