Curling Club ends season with mixed bonspiel

 

The Drumheller Curling Club wound up another successful year on Monday April 2, 2012.

 

The final mixed bonspiel concluded on April 1, 2012.  Of the sixteen teams entered into the bonspiel, the winner of the “A” event was the Bill Herman rink consisting Bill Herman, Cindy Krywcun, Michael Ewing, and Marian Ewing.  The Herman rink defeated the Mitch Martin rink in the “A” final.

The winner of the “B” event was the Larry Coveney rink consisting of Larry Coveney, Tracy Coveney, Lisa Kluck, and John Kluck.  The Coveney rink defeated the Rob Visser rink in the “B” event final.

The winner of the “C” event final was the Justin Wolfe rink consisting of Justin Wolfe, Trudy Greene, Russell Hanses, and Diane Blanchett.  The Wolfe rink defeated the Scott Hyska rink in the “C” event final.

The winner of the Men’s League was the Mitch Martin rink consisting of Mitch Martin, John Martin, Bob Neigum, and Merv Clark. The Martin rink defeated the Ken Olsen rink in the final.

The winner of the Mixed League was the Bill Herman rink consisting of Bill Herman, Gail Trembecky, Michael Ewing, Diane Shymanski and alternate, Ray Laval. The Herman rink defeated the Don Yavis rink in the final.

Curling will resume in November of 2012.  Curling is a family oriented activity and the Club is always looking for new members.  No one is too young or too old to learn how to curl.
