Karen Heather McLellan (nee Johnson) of Drumheller, AB passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023, at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen is survived by her son Daniel, daughter-in-law Angela and grandson Parker McLellan, son-in-law Adam Brown, her partner Christiane Nault, as well as her brothers Larry (Evelyn & Jessie) Johnson and Donny (Moira & Laura) Johnson. She was predeceased by her son Christopher McLellan and her parents Marion and Clifford Johnson. No service will be held as per Karen’s wishes.

Lisa Marie Schuler of Drumheller, mother of Taylor Schuler-O’ Reilly (Rachelle Little), grandmother to Jordan, Xander, Hartley and Turner, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the age of 50 years.
Lisa is also survived by her parents, Jerald and Linda Schuler, sister, Juanita Schuler (Darren Stahl) all of Drumheller; sister, Crissy Carriere (Chris Swales) of Garden Bay, B. C., niece, Jessie Carriere and great-nephew, Carson, nephew, Derek Carriere (Kelsey Thompson) all of Drumheller, niece, Fallon Schuler-Erdman (Nate Lyon) of Lethbridge, and niece, Savannah Schuler-Erdman (Cameron Morris) of Abbottsford, B. C. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Jenson and Doralis Lehner and Arthur and Jessie Schuler all of Calgary.
Celebration of Life to be celebrated Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Drumheller Legion, 295 Centre St.

October 21, 1947 - December 9, 2023

Ronald passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023 at the Drumheller Health Centre, Acute Care at the age of 76 years. Born in Wayne and growing up in Midland prior to moving to Drumheller in the late 1970’s, Ron is survived by sister, Brenda Jones, and brothers, Roger, Richard and Barry, along with nieces, Natalie and Lisa and nephews, Joel and Willie. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverly and Mother, Luby and Father, Gino.
Ron was an avid sportsman in the Valley all his life, playing hockey at all age categories right up to Old Timers, and his passion was Baseball, having played Little League, Juvenile, Senior Mens, and even Old Timers Ball for years. If Ron wasn’t in a Sports Uniform playing, he’d be coaching and volunteering in some capacity. He also volunteered for the local Drumheller Dragons Jr. “A” Hockey Club, having Goal Judged for some 15 years, prior to worsening health conditions.
Ron worked in the Canada Correctional Services for some 35 years as a guard, first employed in Bowden for a couple years; then the Drumheller Penitentiary up until health conditions forced his retirement.
As per Ron’s wishes, there will not be any formal funeral services held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Drumheller Minor Hockey, and/or Drumheller Minor Baseball Associations.
