It is with immense sadness that the loving family of Claude Ira Hollis announce his passing on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. Claude is survived by his loving wife Doris; two daughters: Judilonne (Fraser) Beebe of Donalda, AB; Cindy (Howard) Vincett of Galahad, AB; Claude’s memory will be forever remembered by his 5 grandchildren: Jonathan, Evan, Steven, Mary-ann (Kyle), and Katie; and his 3 great-grandchildren; Gavin, Ethan, and Wyatt. Claude also leaves behind his sister, Arleen Davis of Red Deer, AB. and his brother Jim (Dorothy) Hollis of Calgary, AB., niece Joanne and nephew Clinton. He also leaves numerous cousins in Nova Scotia. Claude will also be remembered by the mother of his children, Elizabeth.  Claude was predeceased by his parents Tom and Tessie, his brother Lloyd; nephew Barry; and his great grandson Lucas. Claude was born to Tom and Tessie Hollis in Drumheller, AB. on October 17, 1930.  Claude devoted 40 years of his career with Alberta Power in the Forestberg  and Drumheller areas.  Claude is also a Lifetime Member of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association.  A Funeral Service for the late Claude Hollis was held Monday, April 12th, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium 6287-67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta. There was also a second service which was held at 4:00pm at the Hastings Coulee Hall, near Forestberg, AB. with interment following at the Fairview Cemetery at Hastings Coulee, AB.  Reverend Don Lewis officiated both services.
