SURERUS, Felicia (Phyllis)

1928 - 2010

 

Mrs. Felicia (Phyllis) Surerus, formerly of Drumheller, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the age of 82 years. Phyllis was born on February 14, 1928 near Mendham, Saskatchewan. Phyllis loved family gatherings, barbeques and holiday dinners. She was a huge supporter of the boys and their sports. Mourning her passing are a daughter, Diana (Lyle) Rowe of Drumheller, Alberta, three sons, Dwight (Debbie) Surerus of Vernon, British Columbia, Carman Surerus of Red Deer, Alberta, Greg Surerus of Red Deer, Alberta, seven loving grandchildren, Michelle Gascon, Chris Gascon both of Calgary, Alberta, Natasha Surerus, Matthew Surerus both of Calgary, Alberta, Megan Surerus of Vernon, British Columbia, Desmond Surerus, Justin Surerus both of Red Deer, Alberta, two brothers, Tony (Lois) Brummet of Osoyoos, British Columbia, Frank Brummet of Grand Forks, British Columbia and a sister, Cecile Corlett of St. George, Utah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Surerus in September, 2001, a son, Len Surerus in July, 2003, a sister, Beth Stearns in 1993, her mother, Maria Brummet in 1953 and her father, Gustav Brummet in 1945.
