1927- 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Katherine Gwenyth Treanor on February 6, 2010 at the Stettler Nursing Home in Stettler, Alberta. She was 82 years old. Kay had worked in the Drumheller Nursing Home for 23 years before retiring in 1987. Her greatest love was her yard and the flowers that she grew there. She loved walking her dog Toby in the neighborhood. Kay is survived by one daughter Bonnie (Ron); three grandchildren: Jim (Louise), Darren (Alla), Danielle (Brad), and six great-grandchildren: Julia, Erica, Mark, Sasha, Maddox and Zoe. She also has one surviving sister Dorothy Philips of Leduc, Alberta. Katherine is predeceased by her husband James and son William. A Private Family Service will be held at Courtney-Winters Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Interment will take place in the Drumheller Cemetery at a later date.
