Thelma Dorin was born in Springdale, Arkansas on November 28, 1915. Her family moved to Drumheller in December of the same year. In 1963 she moved to Camrose where she remained until her passing on July 15, 2009. She is survived by her sons, Bob Moffatt and Owen Moffatt of Drumheller and daughter Maureen (John) Gray of Edmonton; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister Mary of Prince George, BC. Thelma was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Scown, her husband John, two brothers, four sisters and grandson Michael Moffatt. Thelma was married to John Dorin in 1973 and they enjoyed 25 years of travel, dancing at the Senior Centre and sharing time with friends and family.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and her association with the United Church until her ill health restricted her. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Camrose United Church, Camrose, Alberta. Cremation has taken place; an inurnment service was held at the Wetaskiwin Cemetery.
