Shirley Mantie passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Shirley is lovingly remembered by 7 children, Wayne, Maxine, Don, Gary, Judy, Marilyn and Bobby; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by husband, Wilbert in 1986; son, Dwight; and sisters, Patsy, Margret and Josephine. Born in Drumheller, she lived in East Coulee until 1962, when mines closed down. Shirley moved to the Canmore/Exshaw area until 1986 when husband Wilbert passed. She spent the last part of her life in Calgary. Many thanks to the care staff at Chinook Care Center. A Celebration of Shirley’s Life was held at Forest Lawn Community Center, 4020 – 26 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB on Friday, February 20, 2015.
