WILSON (Stuart) Karen Arlene

Wilson, (Stuart) Karen Arlene

September 4, 1947 - April 4, 2014

Karen Arlene Wilson (Stuart) was born September 4, 1947 in beautiful Niagara Falls, Ontario. She was raised there by her parents, William Earl Stuart and Ruby Rosamond Sadler. She moved out west in 1976 where, lucky for us, she remained. She’s been a local resident of East Coulee and loved the Valley since moving here in 1982. In January of this year, Karen was given the news that shook our foundation; news that cancer was her fate. After 4 brief months, she left us on April 4, 2014. Karen is survived by her husband John (Jack) Wilson and numerous family and friends. For those who knew and loved her, she will always be remembered by her generous and caring demeanor. She was filled with love and truly enjoyed helping people around her. She was a devoted, loving wife and a very loyal friend. Karen was spirited and not afraid to speak her mind, yet doted on you in the same breath. Socializing over coffee, talking about “Boogie Bear” (her overprotective dog) was one of her favourites. She loved all animals. She loved the Blue Jays too ... but don’t get her started on their pitching. She was known around the Valley for her work ethic and many residents may remember her from the Dollar Store, Riverside Pharmacy or Bo Diddly’s. She was also self-employed for years with her own janitorial business. Karen will be sadly missed by all of us who were blessed to know her and have her in our lives. No funeral service will be held to respect Karen and Jacks wishes. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
