Edith was 75 years young. Edith passed away peacefully at home with her family, after battling heart disease and kidney damage. Born in Turner Valley, AB. Edith was the eldest of 5 children, parents; Marguerite Hilda Pountain and Robert Bruce Nelson. Edith left Wayne, AB and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, where she met and fell in love with husband. While they were in the RCAF, Roy was stationed on a NATO base in Zweibrucken, Germany; for 4 years, during this time, Edith enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, touring castles and cathedrals. When Roy left the military, he went to work at the Drumheller Penitentiary, and Edith went to work at the Drumheller Regional Hospital for 28 yrs.   Here she made life-long friends, of which there are too many to name.  Edith’s heart always belonged to Drumheller, she was a Shop-Stewart for the LPN’s Union,   also a member of Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi, and The Marigold Library committee. Edith is per-deceased by her husband; Roy Sulliman, and Brother; James Nelson.   Edith leaves behind her daughter, Lorraine  (Lorrie) Sulliman of Calgary, grandson; Robert Sulliman of Calgary, her sister; Nancy Swerhun (Hackler) and  brother; Bruce Nelson, both of Calgary, and  brother; Doug Nelson of Spruce Grove, AB. Edith had many nieces and nephews across Canada.  All of which will miss their Aunt very much.  Edith will be fondly remembered for her love of laughter; ‘Belly-Laughs” and her crocheting of many afghans, her love of reading, sewing and travel, and time spent with good friends and family.
