On Wednesday, July 31st at the Hythe Continuing Care Centre in Hythe, Alberta, Winnie Stevens passed away. Winnie was born February 12, 1919 in Spruce Lake, Saskatchewan and in the early ‘40’s she moved to Drumheller, Alberta which remained her home base until the fall of 2010 when she moved to the Hythe Continuing Care Centre to be closer to her daughter.  She will be sorely missed by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Lynne Coulter of Grande Prairie, her grandson Ken Coulter and his children Kendra and Kathleen of Fort St. John, B.C., and by her grandson Rob Coulter and his wife Tammy of Grande Prairie, Alberta.  She will also be remembered by her step-daughter Patricia Stevenson of Calgary and the members of her family.  Winnie will be missed by her sister Rena Britton of Rosetown, Saskatchewan and by her stepsister Vera Dyce of Lloydminster, Alberta and by other family members and friends. The Coulter family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Hythe Continuing Care for the wonderful care and kindnesses given to Winnie during her time there. At Winnie’s request, there will be no memorial service. Cremation has taken place. Should friends and family wish to honor Winnie, donations to the Lions Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
