GROENEVELD, Virginia M.  nee (Finley)

Virginia Mae Greoneveld passed away in Calgary on April 19, 2012. Virginia is survived by her children Susan (Glen) Williams, Dennis (Sharen), Bruce (Cindy), Randy (Treena), Allan (Asa); her sister Bernice (Cliff) Belbin, sister Olive Kreutzer, sister Muriel (Roy) Meadows; sister-in-law Nita Finley; brother Larry (Theresa) Finley; grandchildren; Melody (Kale Prystupa), Kyla (Jerad) Smith, Devon (Christie), Wes, Stacey (Jordon Ryan), Eliza, Codey (Terra), Krista (Mike), Justin, Tyson, Zachery, Riley and Nicole; great-grandchildren: Hannah Smith, Owen Prystupa, Garnett Smith, Paige Ryan, Leah Prystupa, Ryder Smith, and Payton Ryan and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Gladys, sister Milred Finley, and brothers Jim Finley and Ed Finley. Virginia was born on November 26, 1932 in High River, Alberta. Virginia married Andrew on July 4, 1952. They moved to Rosebud in 1958. There they farmed and raised Simmental cattle until they retired in 1999 to Strathmore, Alberta. Virginia was very active in the communities that she lived in. A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on April 25, 2012 at Hope Community Covenant Church in Strathmore, Alberta. A special thank you to Dr. Mark Vacy-Lyle, Dr. D. Piesas and their staff. Virginia’s family would also like to express their heartfelt thank you to all of you; our dearest friends, for all your thoughts, prayers, phone calls, cards, flowers and delicious foods. Virginia will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
