MARSDEN, Marilyn Dorothy (Wood)
November 3, 1943 - December 11, 2010

It is with sadness and yet a sense of peace that our family announce the passing of Marilyn Marsden. Marilyn fought a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. Born and raised in Calgary, she resided and worked there until her retirement. Then she and Jim moved to Carbon, Alberta, an area where her grandparents had homesteaded. Marilyn will be lovingly missed by her husband of 48 years, Jim, daughters Jamie, Judy (Darrell) Rotzoll, grandchildren Kyle and Kristina, brothers Gordon (Mona) Wood, John David (Darlene) Ogilvie, sister Linda (Denzil) Irving as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial in celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Saturday December 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Carbon Community Centre. The family would like to thank Dr. N Bahlis and staff of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre as well as the Three Hills Hospital for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre at Marilyn’s request.
