1943 - 2009
Louis passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Louis was born September 17, 1943 in Camrose, Alberta. Louis is survived by Arlene, his loving partner of twenty-seven years. He is survived by his four children, Rob, Kathy (Dana), Terry (Cory) and Helen (Brent) and families, sister Elpha (Vern) Klancher and family, his extended family Linda (Bill), Pat (Mike), Lyle (Geri), Dale (Karen) and families. All of his grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to Louis. Louis will also be rememebered by many special aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Helen and Clarence Scheie and sister Dorothy Scheie. A service of remembrance will be held at the Delia Community Hall on Thursday, July 30 at 1 p.m. Lunch will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Drumheller Cancer Centre or the Drumheller Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
