It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother on April 19, 2009. Stephen was the son of Thomas Johnson Montgomery and Emily Maude (Cosens) Montgomery born September 8, 1934. Stephen was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Emily and brothers; Vance, James and sister June Dodd. Stephen is survived by his wife Patricia and three daughters, Judy, Sara, and Kylie, son-in-law Mark Ward and son-in-law Jason Bouvier. Stephen was a loving Poppa to his five grandchildren Eliza, Holleigh, Cole, Jacklyn and Reid. Stephen is also survived by his brother Eugene and sisters Nancy Blanchett and Agnes Stoness. Stephen spent most of his life farming in the Morrin community as well also experienced living abroad in Australia with his wife Patricia and his three daughters. Stephen passed peacefully after a long battle with multiple health issues. Our family would like to express our appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff of the Drumheller Continuing Care Unit. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Drumheller Continuing Care Recreation Program. Services will be held at the Morrin Community Hall on Friday, April 24 at 2:00 pm.
