brillinger-john.jpgJohn Brillinger (born November 17, 1950) passed away on November 21, 2008 in Drumheller, Alberta with Hazel, his loving wife of 34 years, by his side. He was 58. John was passionate about life and lived his life as large as he was. He was an avid baseball player, coach and was known to cook a mean chili! He loved his family, animals and friends. John was a kind and gentle giant who touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Hazel, mother Mary Brillinger, sisters Carol and Brenda and brother Bob and their families as well as numerous relatives and friends. He will also be missed by his “furry family”: Raven, Marley Bob, Virgil Caine, Lexi, Hawke, Silken and Bella. John is predeceased by his father Lennie Brillinger and his brother-in-law Gary Bigelow. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday November 28 at 3:30 pm at the Winston Heights Mountview Community Centre (520-27 Ave. NE, Calgary, AB). Casual attire is desired. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Drumheller & District Humane Society (PO Box 1474, Drumheller, AB, T0J 0Y0).
