Dora Mildred Greenman passed away peacefully at the Dulcina Hospice on Friday, May 25, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 90. Dora is survived by her 6 children, Dennis Needham, Larry (Maureen) Needham, Duane Needham, Lorna (Terry) Harrison, Jody (Brian) DeFoor and Tim Needham; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 4 of her 10 siblings, Gordon (Ruth), Glen (Jeannie) Greenman, Joyce Dyrland and Phyllis Meyers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by Ralph Needham (father of her children) and partner Stuart Rowe; her mother, Belle and father, Alvin Greenman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethelyn (Roy) Saari, Myrtle (Waldo) Raabis, Lucille (Ogden) Cole, Fern (Slim) Tolonen, Ruth (Jim) Goforth, Audrey (Charlie) Bolton, Roy Dyrland and Ray Meyers. She was born on September 25, 1927 in Granum, Alberta to Alvin and Belle Greenman. Dora had a special love of and talent for growing flowers and gardening. Dora was an accomplished dancer and enjoyed listening to and singing songs, any time and any place. The greatest joy of her life was her family and she craved their company every day. A more caring and loving mother and grandmother would be hard to find. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Eckville Community Hall, 5305 - 5315, 52 Street, Eckville, Alberta. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Hill Lodge, 98 Carolina Drive, Cochrane, Alberta, T4C 1X5 or Dulcina Hospice, 110 Evanspark Manor NW, Calgary, Alberta, T3P 0N4. The family would like to thank all the staff and residents of Big Hill Lodge and Dr. Torrie in Cochrane.
