Dawn Leslie Horbach of Drumheller passed away suddenly on March 12, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 61 years. Dawn was born in Vermilion, Alberta on December 23, 1956 where she resided until she moved to Drumheller, Alberta as she transferred from the Vermilion Provincial Court to the Drumheller Court of Queens Bench where she retired. She was a proud loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Dawn never missed a beat in their lives, she was always right there smiling and cheering her children and grandchildren on in every event of their lives. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Dawn leaves to mourn, her parents Jim & Verna Armstrong of Vermilion, Alberta, two daughters Jennifer Horbach (Luke) of Drumheller, Alberta, Kimberly Mergl (Travis) of Carbon, Alberta, one son Jordan Mergl of Drumheller, Alberta, grandchildren Christopher Nydokus of Vermilion, Alberta, Presley & Payton Clark of Carbon, Alberta, two sisters Valerie Trachuck (Dennis), Deb Williams (Ken), three brothers Brad Armstrong, Sam Armstrong (Eva) and Darren Armstrong, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a lifetime of friends. Dawn was predeceased by siblings Erna Armstrong and Guyle Armstrong. A Service of Remembrance for Dawn will be held at a later date in Vermilion, Alberta. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
