Gerald (Jerry) John DeMott passed away peacefully at the age of 67 years at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, March 12, 2018. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Donna; sons Chad(Jamie) and Jason (Leslie; granddaughters Emily and Darci; brother Fred (Shelly; sisters Dianne (Harold) and Brenda(Andrew); Bob (Denise), Kate (Ferdy), Janice (Danny), Gary(Monica), Lori (George), as well as many extended family and friends. Jerry was born to Freda and Frank DeMott on February 28, 1951 in Drumheller, Alberta. He was raised on the family farm near Delia, Alberta. Jerry attended school in Delia and went on to work as a heavy equipment operator. Jerry and Donna married in 1971 and raised their boys in Sparwood, BC. Jerry will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and the time he spent with family and friends snowmobiling, ÿ shing and hunting. He worked hard and played harder. Jerry will be greatly missed. A special thank you to the sta° at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta for your excellent care and compassion. We will be forever grateful. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held in the fall of 2018.
