Margaret Jean Dickson passed away on February 23rd, 2018 at Carleton Place, Ontario at the age of 98. Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald, her siblings Cliff McArthur and Jack McArthur. She is survived by her sons Gary (Arlene) and Bruce (Gisele) and her grandchildren Lynn, Jennifer, Michael and Stephanie and great grandchildren Myla, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Jett and Benjamin. She married Ron in 1944 and they moved to Drumheller where Ron started his dental practice and they raised their family. Jean belonged to two bridge clubs and was an active volunteer in the United Church and later a member of PEO. Jean and Ron retired to Victoria, B.C. Over the years, they wintered with friends in Hawaii, California and Arizona. She never lost her love of dancing, Hawaiian music, and get togethers with friends. She lost Ron to Alzheimer’s in 2004. The family will hold a private memorial service and suggest any who wish to memorialize Jean’s life might consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
