November 1, 1937 - February 25, 2018

It is with sadness the family of Bob Pozzolo announce his passing. Bob passed away at the age of 80 at the Drumheller Health Center. Bob was born and raised in Drumheller. Bob is predeceased by his wife Joyce Pozzolo, his daughter Jacqueline Burke, and 6 brothers and sisters. Bob is survived by his son Garfield Shane Pozzolo, niece Judy Cunningham, grandchildren Cody Pozzolo, Misty Hagerman, Amanda Chamberlain, Chris Chamberlain, and Steve Chamberlain. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and friends. The family would also like to acknowledge John and Dora Feenstra. Bob was a general foreman in construction for many years. Bob also worked for Alberta Transportation building bridges. Bob was well known for being a dependable and hard working man. Bob raised his children in Drumheller and area. Bob maintained his sense of humour until the end. The family would like to make some special acknowledgements. Judy Cunningham thank you for spending every day possible by his side, for all your time, effort and generousity. To Raylene Ziegler, thank you for caring for him and keeping him comfortable. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Drumheller Hospital. Special thanks to Candice Watson and June Ibrahim. The family would also like to make special mention to: Owen and Jackie Saul of Edmonton; brother and sister-in-law to Joyce Pozzolo. To Mark and Joy Chamberlain of Red Deer. Bob will be missed deeply by his family and friends. May the wings of angels carry you home, til we meet again. As per Bob’s wish no funeral will be held. A family and close friends gathering will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Lung Cancer Society.
