August 18, 1968 - August 15, 2017

It is with deepest regrets and heavy hearts the family of Allan Troy Bossert announces his sudden death. Allan finally gave up his struggle and quietly slipped away early Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the young age of 48 years. Allan was born and raised in Drumheller, Alberta. He moved to Red Deer, Alberta in May of 2017 to be close to his nephew Kyle (Jen) and their 4 young children (Allan referred to Kyle as his son). We were unaware until after his death that Allan had health issues, including heart disease, high levels of sugar indicating Diabetes and Emphysema. Allan is survived by his step-mother Helen; brother Vern (Ann); sisters Roxanne Bramfield (Alec), and Karen Shamber (Rick); three sons Troy, Frank and Zaylin; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, one grandson and many more extended family and friends. Allan was predeceased by his mother Juanita Bossert (1995) and father Phillip Bossert (2005). The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Newcastle Hall, Drumheller. Details will be posted on social media (FaceBook). Donations can be made in Allan’s memory directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Society. He will be missed by all. Allan touched the hearts of those who loved and knew him.
