CASEY
TERRY JAMES

September 6, 1945, Wetaskiwin, Alberta
- June 14, 2017, Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Terry died suddenly at home in Calgary. Terry was born in Wetaskiwin, and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education. He went on to enjoy a teaching career that lasted over four decades. He spent most of his teaching years in Drumheller, where he and Anne raised their family. They retired to Calgary in 2010 to enjoy a rich cultural life, time with family and travel adventures. Terry enjoyed his life very much, from curling with the ARC seniors in the winter, to hunting in the fall, to camping in the summer. He also loved the outdoors and making wine as a hobby, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He was a real handyman, and was always in demand in the family for building projects and repairs. Terry was a quiet, gentle, humble man; his kindness and generosity enriched many lives. He will be greatly missed. He leaves to mourn his wife and best friend of forty-two years, Anne Morgan; his son Evan (Candace); his daughter, Eirlys (Jason), and his six grandchildren, Jayden, Callum, Piran, Aled, Niav and Ariana. A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at Deer Park United Church (77 Deer Point Road S.E.) on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Terry Casey, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB Telephone: 403-256-9575.
