Mr. Gordon Earl Roberts passed away peacefully at Drumheller Continuing Care on January 24, 2017 at the age of 101 years, he was a longtime resident of Delia. Gordon was born on March 19, 1915 in Highfield, Queens County, P.E.I. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Athol and Sarah Roberts, his first wife Dorothy Jean Roberts, and his second wife Ruth Cave Roberts. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Irene, his children; Betty (Murdo), Muriel, Evelyn (Harvey), Lowell (Glenda), 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of friends. A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. from the Delia Senior’s Drop In Centre, a time of fellowship and light refreshment will be provided following the service. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Continuing Care). Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
