Metz, Anthony (Tony)

Anthony (Tony) Metz passed away peacefully with his daughter Nicole Metz by his side on March 14, 2017 at the age of 79. Tony Metz was born in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan, the fifth oldest of eight children born to Thomas and Magdalena Metz. Tony was a very kind and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Throughout his life he worked hard as a farmer and rancher around Rosebud and later in the Handhills area. He is fondly remembered as a hard working, loving and generous person with a gentle nature. Tony was predeceased by his parents, beloved companion Alice Margaret Wilson, sister Evelyn, and brother – in – law Maurice Bourque; Brother Paul; Brother-in-law Ted Anton and Brother Victor. He his survived by his four children; Danielle Metz, Nicole Metz, Anthony Metz and Todd Metz and four grandchildren; Alexandra Hill, Nicolas Gerodo, Paige Wood and Sophia Metz and four great grandchildren; London Hill, Lily Hill, Peyton Gerodo and Preston Gerodo, as well as the beloved children of Alice Margaret Wilson and his siblings; Mildred Anton, Lucille (Henry) Anton, Gary (Sue) Metz and Tom (Brenda) Metz. A time of fellowship was held at Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes at 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday March 21, 2017. The wake was open to anyone wishing to say farewell to Tony.
