The family of Ivan Sieppert of Drumheller, AB. are saddened to announce his passing on November 9, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer and kidney disease. Ivan leaves to mourn his loss wife Gail, children Jackie (Shirley), Rick, Brian (Arlene), Mike, Jodie (Randy), Jacqueline (Dirk), Greg (Wendy), twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by father Jacob, mother Elsie and brothers Roland, Lester and Elmer. Born January 10, 1940, Ivan was a simple man whose greatest joys were spending time with family and exploring the many wonders of nature. His favourite moments were spent on walks in the Drumheller valley or viewing wildlife around his childhood home in the Hand Hills. His family will forever treasure Ivan’s joy at finding a unique antique, arranging a campfire for the whole family, or his remarkable smile when his family was present. At his request Ivan will be remembered in a small, private ceremony by his immediate family only. In lieu of flowers the family would welcome donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
