Condolences to the family of PATRICK CHARLES SPARROW

PatrickSparrow

SPARROW, Patrick Charles

October 17, 2016

Patrick Charles Joseph Sparrow passed away peacefully at the Drumheller Health Centre at the age of 89 years. Pat could command the attention of everyone in the room, either by telling a story, reciting a poem or joke. He loved life to the fullest and enjoyed making people smile and laugh. Over the years the community has been blessed with his funny calendars or enjoyed one of his gourmet treats (rum balls, popcorn balls or ribs). Pat was devoted to his companion, Lola Yearley and her four children, spouses and children. His sister, Gerry Rowbottom and brother, Bill Sparrow will truly miss him. Pat leaves many nieces, nephews, family and friends. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Pat, please send to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22, Box 147, Drumheller, AB, T0J 0Y0. So many to thank, Hillview Lodge Staff, Dr. Tlhape and Dr. Graham, and the wonderful nursing staff at Drumheller Health Centre for their gentle and compassionate care. Especially like to thank the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22 for the Last Post Service. Pat would have been so proud to see his Legion Comrades, RCMP and Correction Services Canada at attention on the church steps upon leaving. Thanks to Father Fernando for the special service and to Audrey Hems and Paul Rosgen for the heartfelt music. The delicious lunch was supplied by Bernie and the Boys and served by the CWL ladies. A sincere thank you to Sean and staff at Courtney-Winters Funeral Home for the personal care shown to our family.

Sincerely, Lola Yearley and family, Gerry Rowbottom, Bill Sparrow and family, Jackie and Bill McTavish and family, the Contenti families, the Duffin families.
