Condolences to the family of ALLAN WILLIAM HOBBS

ALLANHOBBS

HOBBS, Allan William (Bud)

September 29, 1928 - Lloydminster, SK
- May 15, 2016 - Calgary, AB

It is with deep sadness that the family of Allan announce his passing on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the age of 87 years. His infectious smile and happy demeanor will be missed by all that knew him. When Allan retired from Esso Resources following a 35 year career, he lived to the fullest with his wife Joyce, family and friends. Allan and Joyce spent many summer months with relatives in Rowley, Alberta, in addition to golfing, round and square dancing and travelling. During the colder months the couple enjoyed bowling and curling. Allan loved tinkering with old lawn mowers that he bought at garage sales and doing crossword puzzles. But Allan got the most joy spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Allan is survived by his loving wife Joyce, sons Rory, Scott (Judy) and daughter Coralee Hobbs. Allan is also survived by his sister Phyllis Boothman, his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss his big warm hugs. Allan was predeceased by his daughter Shona Bishop, brother Tom, sister Helen Bysouth and his parents. Funeral Services will be held at St. David’s United Church (3303 Capitol Hill Crescent N.W. Calgary, AB) on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
