GEORGE FRANKLIN BRENNAN, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the age of 85, two months before his 86th birthday. He is survived by his close friends, Terry Makus, Lyle and Vivian Grover and family, and Colleen Grover. George was predeceased by his wife Vivian and son Patrick as well as his parents, two sisters and one brother. George developed many friendships over the years. These included his Tim Horton’s coffee group, Heritage Lodge staff and friends, childhood friends from Drumheller and many members of the trucking industry and friends in Drumheller, Calgary and Lethbridge. George was involved in the trucking industry for over 60 years. In the course of this career, he trained many drivers, some of who he even taught to drive and always was willing to share stories and experiences for the betterment and safety of the new drivers and the industry. A Service of Remembrance was held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Major Sandra Habkirk officiating.
