CRAIG, Byron Trevor

April 30, 1946 - January 18, 2016

Shaun, Darren and Danielle Craig sadly announce the sudden passing of their dad, Byron Trevor Craig, at his home in Cranbrook, BC on January 18, 2016. Byron is survived by his children and grandchildren: Shaun, Tracie, Allisen and Morgen of Valleyview and Shaun’s son, Mckenzie of Lacombe; Darren, Melanie, Foster, Madelyn, Eliza and Benjamin of Cranbrook; and Danielle, Rylee and Parker of Red Deer. He is also survived by his sisters: Heather Lupul and her partner, Rob; and Bonnie and Randy Hetman and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his Aunt Rita and her children and grandchildren. Byron was predeceased by his second wife, Lorraine; his great nephew, Ethan; his parents, Adam and Louise Craig; and aunts and uncles. Surviving also are many cousins and their families. Byron was born in Drumheller and raised in Edmonton. He worked for many years for CN Railway: first in the Calder yards in Edmonton, then in Drumheller, back to Edmonton, Grande Prairie and again back to Edmonton. After working for CN, he moved to Kelowna to be with his parents. After living in Kelowna for a number of years, he then moved to Cranbrook to be closer to Darren and family where he lived until his passing. Shaun, Darren and Danielle would like to thank everyone at The Courtyard Inn in Cranbrook for being good friends of Byron. A family service will be held at a later date.
