It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful Christine Angela Scheifele in Calgary on January 14 at the age of 51 after a long battle with cancer. Chrissy was born in High River on June 13, 1964 to Juanita (Soderquist) and Jim Finley. She attended school in the Drumheller area, which is where she met her husband Dan Scheifele. They married June 16, 1984 and had three beautiful daughters, Ashley, Kelsey, and Marie. Chris and Dan lived in Drumheller, Hanna, Stettler, Langdon, and retired in the Hussar area. In addition to being an amazing mother, Chrissy enjoyed teaching children and volunteering within her communities. A highlight for her was to live in Mexico with Dan on a work assignment from 2012-2015. Chrissy is survived by her mother Juanita, sister Yvonne (Glenn), brother Jeff, husband Dan, daughters Ashley (Ryder), Kelsey, and Marie. A loving extended family along with friends will miss her dearly. Chris is predeceased by her father Jim. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the BADLANDS COMMUNITY FACILITY in Drumheller. In honor of Christine, donations can be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada. Floral arrangements are being handled by R & J Flowers in Drumheller. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
