Mr. Marcel Allard died peacefully in Wetaskiwin Hospital on January 9, 2016 at the age of 91. Marcel is survived by his children; Lavonne (Dennis), Doug (Wayne), Marie (Lawrence) and his grandchildren, Cara-Dee (Troy), Crystal (Pete), Kelsey (Shelly), Candace, Corey, Shantel (Darcy), Jalene (Matt), and great grandchildren, Kevin, Kassy (Nathan), Sunday (Devin), Nick, Isla, Pipper, Josh, Jordan, and great great grandchildren, Dannika, Tyson, Presean, and Sabrina. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Pearl, son, Lindsay, mother Elise, father Fred. Marcel was born on April 3, 1924 in Drumheller and resided there for over 50 years. Marcel and his wife moved to Camrose to live with their daughter in 1999. They then moved to Wetaskiwin in 2008, he resided at home with his family caring for him until four days prior to his passing. He operated and owned businesses in the Drumheller Community throughout his life. Marcel’s family remembers him as a kind and caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. He will be sadly missed. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. from ST. ANTHONY’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, interment to follow in the Drumheller Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Alberta and N.W.T. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
