It is with great sadness that the friends of Gordon Benjamin Baxter announce his passing on December 20, 2015 at home with warm hearts by his side. Gordon was in his 70th year. Gordon was born in Winnipeg on August 20, 1945. Gordon moved to Drumheller in March of 2002. He developed many friendships in Drumheller. All of his friends can take solace in knowing he loved and cherished them. Aside from his many friends, Gordon was passionate about many things; Old Time Country & Western Music, Movies, Old Time Rock n’ Roll, Gordon was a sports enthusiast, enjoying bowling and watching his favourite team the Blue Jays play. Gordon enjoyed learning about historic events like the Titantic and Anne of Green Gables. He took great pleasure in updating his friends on the daily news, weather and telling a good story or joke. Many of those can be retold at a Celebration of His Life. Gordon will be sadly missed. A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Cretaceous Centre, 1103 Hiway 9 South, Drumheller, Alberta. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
