MOAR, Betty Rose

October 17, 1934 - September 20, 2015

Robert and our family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of his loving wife and our wonderful mother Betty Rose Moar. We’ll miss her gentleness, her wisdom, and her kindness, we’ll miss her loving and giving ways. She lived a life of compassion, decency and dignity. If one word could describe her, it would be
“grace”. In all the years she lived in the valley, Betty had many years of service as a secretary. In her role at the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission, and when volunteering in the community, her compassion touched the lives of those in need. Above all, she was devoted to her dear husband, Robert and her five children. With Betty’s love, her laughter, and joy - we were truly blessed. Left to mourn are Betty’s loving husband, Robert Moar, her son, Mark Doyle (Susan), their children: Lori, Blair, and Daniel, her daughter, Brenda Campbell (Cory), their children: Brody (Megan), Mitchell (Sara), and Natalie (Brett), her daughter, Theresa Coe
(Brian), their children: Lyndsie (Colin), Sam (Chantal), her daughter Betty Doyle (Les Diehl) and Betty’s step-daughter Kristin (Martin) and her great grandsons whom she adored: Sawyer, Harrison, and Grayson. Betty was predeceased by her son, Gerald and her baby grandson, Darcy. A Celebration of Betty’s life will take place at Knox United Church in Drumheller at 11 a.m. Friday, September 25 with a luncheon to follow in the church hall. The interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson’s Foundation. Courtney-Winters Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements
