The young family continued their journey back south, with stops in Peace River and Fairview. Eventually they moved to Stettler, where both Dan and Heather graduated from high school, and Don retired from ATCO Electric. in 1996, the family farm in Three Hills became available for occupancy, and the family made their final move back onto home soil. Linda was a very active substitute teacher in Three Hills and Trochu. Some of her favorite years were spent teaching at the Outreach School in Trochu.
