KOCH, Doris Elaine

March 16, 1950 - January 11, 2015

Doris Elaine Koch of Drumheller, beloved wife of Allan Karl Koch, passed away suddenly on January 11, 2015 at the age of 64 years. Doris was born in Saskatoon, SK on March 16, 1950 to Arnold and Matilda Fuhr of rural Saskatoon. Doris attended school in Saskatoon and later, high school in Kelvington, SK. Doris and Allan married in 1967 and made a home together in Saskatoon. Doris was a wonderful mother to her three children: Tracy, Kelvin and Trina. Doris later continued her education and attended Red Deer College, obtaining her diploma as a Chiropractic Assistant. Doris and Allan later would spend several years as Foster parents at Prince Albert, SK. After returning to Alberta in 1989, Doris worked at Home Hardware in Didsbury. Doris’ last 15 years have been spent happily employed at The Drumheller Mail. Doris enjoyed spending her time with a good book and being with her children and grandchildren. Besides her loving husband Allan Koch, Doris is survived by; her daughter Trina (Mark) Hall, son Kelvin (Christie) Koch, as well as Grandma’s little princess Brianna, daughter of Trina and Mark, one sister Dianne (Cliff) Berscht, as well as many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her parents Arnold and Matilda Fuhr and her daughter Tracy Koch.
