It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of George Orton Davis on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Karla Gilmore (nee Mous), loving father of Gwendolyn (Moin Vafaei), and Corina (Joe Aiello), and step-father of Julia Gilmore. Loving son of Agnes (Nancy) and the late Douglas, Dear brother of Wayne, step-brother John Szureck. Cherished grandpa of Mahdi, Eric, Joseph and Brooklynne. Predeceased by his first wife Pamela, Son Wayne and brother Peter. George will also be greatly missed by his large extended family and friends. Friends visited at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catherines on Wednesday, April 9 from 7 to 9 pm. A service celebrating George’s life was held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday April 10, 2014 at 11:30 am. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice or a random act of kindness in George’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
