Mary Fairlie Fraser beloved wife of Francis Fraser passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the age of 76 years. Mary was born on August 1, 1937 in Scotland. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 working as a nanny after training and working as a children’s nurse and governess in Scotland. She had an immense love of children and will be missed by the children she has cared for throughout the years. Mary was a proud mother of three children. Mary was predeceased by her son Ian (Brenda). She will be sadly missed by her; daughters Joyce (Robert) and Caroline (Eric deceased 2008) and grandchildren: Matthew (Kandyce), Branden (Ashley) Brittany (Kyle) Cory, Dallas, Andrew, and great grandchildren: Landon, Grayson, Samuel and her sister Elma. Mary was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Thorburn and sister Christine. A Celebration of Mary’s life will take place at Knox United Church at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 31, 2014, Drumheller Alberta. There will be tea and coffee at the Mason lodge in Drumheller, AB. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta children’s hospital 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW Calgary, Alberta Canada T3B 6A8.
