MERKEL, Herta Anne

Herta Anne Merkel was born February 14, 1916 in Travers, Alberta and passed away July 6, 2013 in Drumheller, Alberta. Predeceased by husband Emil John Merkel and parents Robert and Bertha Patelski. Survived by sons Larry, Brian and Darryl and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom had a great faith. She was a member of the C.W.L St. Anthony’s Church for 67 years. Mom loved her family and friends, flowers, animals and nature in general and could often be seen tending her flowers in her yard. As per Mom’s request, there will be no funeral mass. There will be a grave side service for her family presided over by Father Mario Basque. A time of fellowship for family and close friends will be held at Mom’s house. Family friends will be notified of the time and date by phone. Love you Ma Bear. R.I.P.
