CAMERON Susan “Susie”

CAMERON, Susan “Susie”

Susan ‘Susie” Cameron passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary. She was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia and moved to Drumheller in 1937 where she lived for her remaining years. In 1949 Susie married Bill Cameron and had three sons. Susie was predeceased by her son Norman and husband Bill, leaving to mourn her sons: John (Rosemary), Bob (Karyn), granddaughter Melissa (Steve) and great-grandaughter Allie and many other family members and friends. Susie was known for her kind and giving nature. She was an avid gardener and quilter, who loved sitting under the shade of her trees with her dog Cappy at her side. Never one to sit idle, she maintained a large yard and always took time to smell the flowers. Mom appreciated nature and life’s simple pleasures. She believed her greatest accomplishment in life was her family and friends who she loved and cherished so very deeply. A Celebration of her life will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Courtney-Winters Funeral Home, Drumheller, Alberta, with L.W.L. Jerry Beskowine officiating. Donations may be made in honour of Susie to Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Cancer Centre) 351-9th Street NW Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y1.
