SVERDAHL, Leonard Berton

The family is saddened to announce the passing of their beloved Father, Leonard Sverdahl on November 10, 2012. Predeceased by his loving wife Ruth, daughter Sharon and son-in-law Al. Survived by daughters: Louise, Carole (|Bill), Marla (Robert) and son Richard; also nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Leonard, our Dad, was born, raised and attended school in the commmunity of Farrell Lake. Dad and Mom enjoyed camping and fishing. After the passing of his father, Leonard, at an early age, continued to farm the family homestead. When Dad and Mom married they lived on the same family farm, raising five children, enjoying community life making many friends and lasting memories. In 1986 Dad and Mom retired to Didsbury, making new friends and taking part in many community functions, enjoying friends and family, and many vacations and tours throughout Canada and the USA. Dad enjoyed many hours playing music, providing entertainment to many in the Delia and Didsbury communities. In the year 2004, Dad made the decision to move into the Hanna Lodge. Later he moved to the continuing care facility where he remained until his passing. Funeral service was held at Delia United Church on Saturday, November 17, 2012 officiated by Reverend Leila Currie.
