Donors recognized by skatepark committee

dase--donation

As the skatepark progresses, the Drumheller Area Skateboard Enthusiasts (DASE) are making sure major donors to the project will be recognized at the park when completed.
Progress toward a new skatepark is growing by leaps and bounds every day as crews work away on site beside the Drumheller outdoor pool.
It has been a strong week for donations rolling in to the project, and the support comes from all over.  This week DASE Facebook was peppered with posts of appreciation to groups, businesses and organizations that have stepped forward to support the recreational facility for locals and visitors. This includes McDonald’s Restaurant, Knibb Developments, Performance Steam and Western Chev, to name a few.
The younger generation too is showing its support. This week the DVSS Graduating Class of 2015 pooled the remaining funds they collected for their graduation celebration and donated $760 to the skatepark development.
Crystal Sereda of DASE is grateful for the support and said a donation like the one from the DVSS students will be permanently recognized at the skatepark.
She explains the project has a number of sponsorship levels that are to be permanently recognized at the park, starting at a of donation $500, all the way up to $50,000. The sponsorship package includes plaques of varying sizes to be part of a fixture at the park as well as recognition at the opening ceremony and through other medias. The top sponsorship level allows the donor to have priority naming of a skatepark feature.
