The Town of Drumheller is pleased to announce that the earlier leak and other deficiencies which delayed the Aquaplex modernization have now been corrected and the commissioning is almost completed.
There is water in the pool, and the flow rate meets the new Alberta Health Standards, water quality has also passed Alberta Health tests and the upgrades on the fire alarm system should be completed on Thursday, December 28.
“We are tentatively scheduling the pool to open to the public on Saturday December 30th and we encourage people to go, have a swim and enjoy the new pool” announced Paul Salvatore, Director of Community Services
“Everyone involved in this project is thrilled to get the pool open and have the community experience the great new aquaplex developed for Drumheller,” added Darryl Drohomerski, CAO of the Town of Drumheller. ”We recognise the inconvenience that the delay caused regular users and for that we are extremely sorry, however we can now all go and enjoy the new facility.”
To compensate for the delay all Aquaplex memberships will be extended by the length of the closure.
