Carbon School celebrates Canada’s 150th year

Dress Up Days May 2017 070

Carbon School faculty and students marked Canada’s 150th Birthday with patriotic cupcakes and red and white clothing on May 30.
The day symbolized the 150th day of the 150th year since Canada’s confederation back in 1867.
The grade eight foods class prepared and decorated the 150 cupcakes to recognize the event. Afterwards, the cupcakes were shared with the entire Carbon School population.
Throughout the day, students were encouraged to wear red and white to show their pride as well.

In the photo, Grade 8 students handed out cupcakes to the rest of the students on May 30, 2017. The day marks the 150th day of the 150th year since the country’s confederation. Pictured above: (l-r) Brayden Nienaber; Jace Paget; Trayton Harpell; Julia Lomond; Danielle Scoffield.
