A tradition going back years is in the spring, Drumheller gearheads gets ready to Boogie.
The Boogie in the Badlands is getting ready for another year, and organizers have been busy preparing for the annual car show, with some new blood organizing the event.
Mike Todor has taken on the task of putting on the Boogie, and planning is going well. He is being helped along by former organizer Bryan Telford, who no longer lives in the valley.
The  “Spring Thaw” car show is slated to go on Saturday, May 27 in downtown Drumheller. The show invites all makes and models to come down to be seen and appreciated by car enthusiasts. The show is also open to motorcycles.
“Usually we get 100-150 cars,” said Todor.
He says there will be prizes for the best Ford, Chev, and Chrysler products, sponsored by the respective dealerships, as well as a People’s Choice award. They have also added a motorcycle prize.
Along with the fine rubber and steel on display, there will be music as the Cat Country band returns for the show. The Legion is planning to have a beer garden open for the show.
To enter your car in the show is only $10, and this year the funds will go toward the Dino Arts Association for its work to preserve and beautify the valley.
