Final push for Roatan Christmas Miracle

Supporters of the Morgan Jayne Project worked hard to fill the wish list of children in the Roatan in time for Christmas, but one more effort is needed to complete the final leg of the gift’s journey.
The Mail reported in its November 18 edition that supporters were able to fulfill the wishes of 113 of the poorest children in the western hemisphere. Through using Amazon Prime, they were able to have supporters buy the items and have them shipped to Florida.
According to Valerie Nelson, who runs Familias Saludables in Roatan, the Christmas Miracle has hit a snag. The 300 boxes, totaling almost a ton and half of gifts are waiting to be shipped to the island. Before this can happen, supporters need about $2,000 to cover shipping and customs to the Island.
Fred Makowecki, founder of the Morgan Jayne Project says the new model has saved them thousands of dollars in shipping, and this latest snag is a fraction of what it used to cost to ship.

Those wishing to support the project can simply drop a donation to Makowecki at Image Crafter in downtown Drumheller, make a deposit to Nelson’s Paypal account at vlnelson113@yahoo.com or through the Dawn Land Foundation at www.dawnlandfoundation.com, and follow the links.
