The Drumheller Dragons travelled to Calgary to face the Canucks on Tuesday night, but were unsuccessful in breaking their losing streak.

Calgary opened the scoring at 1:15 into the first with a goal by Andrew Marshall. Exactly 10 minutes later, Marshall scored again to give the Canucks a 2-0 lead.

Levi Wunder of the Dragons opened the scoring in the second period at 3:26 with an unassisted shorthanded goal, but unfortunately that was the only goal the Dragons could get to the back of the net.

The three remaining Calgary goals, one in the second and two in the third, were all scored on the power play, making the final score 5-1 Canucks.

The Dragons now sit with five wins, six losses, one overtime loss for a total of 11 points and are in fifth place in the AJHL South division.

The Dragons will now host the  Fort McMurray Oil Barons tonight (Friday). The Oil Barons have only won one game so far this season and that was in overtime against the Dragons last Friday night (October 9). Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena.

The Dragons will then head to  Calgary for a rematch against the Canucks on Saturday night before heading to Spruce Grove on Wednesday (October 21).
