Dragons take an overtime win in game three of their playoff series against the Camrose Kodiaks

The Drumheller Dragons hosted the Camrose Kodiaks for game three of the second round playoff series between the two teams, and for the first time this season, regular and playoffs, the Dragons won against the first place team and they have Keaton Holinaty to thank for it.
With no scoring in the first period, Camrose took advantage of a power play early in the second to take a 1-0 lead. The Dragons took no time to tie the game at 4:59 before the Kodiaks took the lead again at 6:56 leaving the score heading into the third 2-1.
The Dragons’ captain Ryan Suchorab tied the game at 16:01 to force an overtime period.
With just two minutes and forty-nine seconds played into the overtime period Holinaty scored his first ever Alberta Junior ‘A’ Hockey League (AJHL) playoff goal and the game winner, to give the Dragons the win they needed to stay alive in the series.
Now that the Dragons have won game three, the series will continue Tuesday night with game four and will return to Camrose Thursday night for game five. Game six, if needed, will be Saturday night in Drumheller with game seven back in Camrose next Tuesday if needed.
