Fildebrandt considers Wildrose leadership run

A possible candidate for the  leader’s job of the Wildrose Official Opposition stopped by to support the area MLA’s Open House Friday, February 20.
    “I will be making a decision in very short order,” said Derek Fildebrandt, who attended the Friday Open House for Drumheller-Stettler MLA Rick Strankman.
    Fildebrandt put his name in the hat as Wildrose candidate at the end of January for the Strathmore-Brooks riding.
    He is the former Alberta Director and National Research Director for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
    Wildrose members have a meeting scheduled in Calgary Saturday, February 21st, their first all member meeting since the defection of nine Wildrose Official Opposition members, including leader Danielle Smith, in December.
