Condolences to the family of Kathleen Vickers

Kathleen passed away peacefully at the age of 97. Kathleen was born in Jasmin, Saskatchewan.
After finishing school she came to Drumheller to visit her aunt and uncle and never moved back to Saskatchewan.
She met the love of her life Jay Vickers. They were very involved with the Drumheller Miners hockey team. They also loved to go dancing and camping.
Kathleen worked at Eaton’s until they shut down. She then went to work for the gas company in the office until she retired.
Kathleen was very involved with the hospital auxiliary. Her knitting and crocheting was always in the auxiliary cupboard for sale. She loved going out for coffee with her friends. She loved going for drives in the country.
She was predeceased by her husband Jay Vickers, her parents Fred and Laura Hilson and sister and brother-in-law Monica and Lauria Patenaude.
She is survived by her niece Rhonda (Gerald) Beres and their family; Greg (Kim, their children; Taryn and William), Chris (Chelsey, their children; Sawyer, Beckett, and Boston), Kevin (his children; Kaleb, Colton, and Jase), Heather (Michael, their children; Eden, Linc and Alix), niece Debbie Patenaude (George Vass), and numerous nieces and nephews on Jay’s side.
Graveside service will be held at a later date which will be announced.
Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Kathleen can do so to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Auxilliary), Hillview Lodge, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Family would like to thank the staff at Hillview Lodge for the care they gave her plus staff from Helping Hands and the wonderful nurses at the Drumheller Hospital.

Dennis Robert Taylor of Calgary, AB passed away in the company of his loving wife Mavis of 60 years, and family on January 19, 2023, under the compassionate care of the team at Southwood Hospice, following a 2 year battle with cancer.
Born on February 16, 1942, Dennis cherished each of his 80 years. While he made Calgary his home, Dennis was proud of his Drumheller heritage, where his childhood memories played a large part in shaping his values and priorities. He devoted his life to providing love and
support for his family. His memory and legacy are entrusted to wife Mavis, daughter Leanne, sons Rod (Julie) and Darren (Kristi), grandchildren Nicholas, Emily, Ryan, and Bridgette. He is survived by brother Bruce (Susan) of Trail, BC, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Wesley and Florence, his brother Gordon, and son-in-law Daren.

Robert James John Clayton Dalton passed away peacefully at the age of 64 with his family by his side on January 26, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents Rev. James & Muriel Dalton. Bob worked as a Correctional officer at the Drumheller penitentiary for 32 years. Following his retirement, he worked at the Drumheller BCF and as a Commissionaire. Bob was known to have the gift of gab. One of his favourite pastimes was to reminisce about the good ole days. He loved his Harley Road King and put more miles on it than his own vehicle. He is survived by his family; Tracey Dalton, Jeffery Dalton & Danielle, Nicholas (Kael) Dalton and Stephanie (Joshua) Eccleston as well as his four granddaughters whom he loved dearly. Bob AKA “Dinky/Stretch” will always be remembered as ONE OF A KIND!
